Ever since I first started talking about radical self love, I’ve emphasised the importance of having a radical self love totem: something to wear or carry that reminds you of your journey.

“Try a heart-shaped necklace,” I’d say, “Or write a word on your hand that you’d like to invoke in your daily life.”

Now, one of my dreams has come true: I’ve collaborated with New Zealand Mint to design a range of radical self love jewellery to accompany you on all your adventures.

I’m thrilled to join their illustrious ranks, alongside such prominent designers as Trelise Cooper and Boh Runga. Moxie is my first collection, and I couldn’t be more delighted to share it with you. It’s made from 100% sterling silver, and it comes straight from my heart to yours.

Jewellery is everyday magic. We tell stories with our hands, our wrists, our necks, the things we choose to bedeck and bedazzle ourselves.

Moxie is about how we can harness the power of language to help us construct reality. You could wear a t-shirt that says Bitch, or you could wear jewels that remind you to dream, that life is beautiful, that the world is what you make it. It’s your choice…

The Heartbump Pendant is jewellery that can change as you do. The sterling silver locket features a heart-shaped glass window, and inside are three discs of coloured leather: pink, cobalt blue, and black. Switch them out to match your outfit, or DIY something special! Scrawl an intention, collage some sequins and glitter, or slip a photo of your idol inside. The words from the collection are pressed into the bottom of the locket, too: Darling Lover Imagine Magical Babe Dreamer.

The Heartbump Pendant is also, in my opinion, the ultimate radical self love totem! Press it into your hand when you need extra courage, or a little nudge from the universe.

The Darling Cuff lets everyone know that you are a love letter to the universe. It’s a bold piece, perfect for adding a bit of colour into an arm party. The silver plate slides off so you can match it with any outfit!

Every Darling Cuff comes with a gorgeous black leather snap cuff, and another leather cuff in one other colour: magenta, sky blue, tangerine or hot pink. You can also purchase additional leather cuffs to swap and interchange. However will you choose?!

The Spirit And Courage Slim Cuff is a slender semi-circle of silver imprinted with the words that make up the Moxie collection: Darling Lover Imagine Magical Babe Dreamer. Look down at it when you feel any doubt about your own brilliance. Hidden on the inside is a pressed heart, just for you.

The Whisper Earrings are solid, rectangular bars which hang low. Each earring is etched with the words from the collection (and trace your fingers over the heart stamped into the back!).

The Sweet Nothing Studs are delicate but solid silver tablets, inscribed with the words from the collection: Darling Lover Imagine Magical Babe Dreamer. Marry them in unexpected ways to share a message with the world… Or swap ’em out with your best friend!

The Sassy Stacker Rings are truly special: I’ve been wearing four of them ever since I received the first samples back in November. My favourite thing to do is combine the rings to create phrases: on my left hand, they say “Imagine Darling”, and on my right, they say “Magical Lover”.

Secretly, the Sassy Stacker Rings are my favourite pieces of the whole collection. They stack beautifully, and mix so wonderfully with any other daily jewels you might rock. I stack mine alongside a chunky topaz ring, a heart-shaped gem, my wedding set, and a ring made from a recycled bullet.

The Moxie collection was created for a gal with a bold sense of personal style. Every morning, she puts on her favourite record while she gets dressed. She selects her clothing and jewellery with love and care, making the intentional choice to wear pieces which make her feel powerful and magical.
