ModCloth Loves Gala Darling!

ModCloth

I’m so excited to announce that I have been selected as ModCloth’s Blogger Of The Moment!

What does this mean? Well, several things. First of all, it means that the girls at ModCloth — who are one of my best & most devoted sponsors, give it UP for ModCloth! — have featured me on their site. There’s a great interview, & they asked me some excellent questions. Viz!

ModCloth

Secondly, they asked me to choose 20 of my favourite ModCloth items, which I did, & very excitedly I might add! I even went so far as to write little blurbs for each item, which are below!

In-Vest Dress
This flattering dress doesn’t compromise on class or originality!

Corporal of Cute Coat
This coat is amazing. I have nothing else to say. I love it.

Montpelier Sweater Vest
I like this because it seems like what you would wear if you went yeti-hunting. Know what I mean?

Weardrobe Dress
Hello, versatility! Yummy with stilettos or dressed down a notch with wedges, you can wear this anywhere.

The Concerto Skirt
Origami-esque & sophisticated, this would look great with a sequinned tank & a bunch of bracelets.

Soda Fountain Dress in Cola
Ideal for channelling Grease, doing the Hop or getting frisky at a drive-in movie… !

Moltisanti Blazer
A cute, clean & understated way to keep yourself warm this autumn.

Twisted Sister Scarf
If you have blue or green eyes, you should snap this up — it will make them look amazing!

Wingardium Leviosa Top
With its unusual length & yummy weight, this is perfect for layering & transitioning summer outfits to autumn ones!

Pleasant Pheasant Headband
I would pull this way forward & wear it with the feathers sticking straight up in the air. Queen of the peasants, that’s me! Um, I mean, pheasants!

Strata Dress
I absolutely love the unusual details of the dress — like a frock for a modern ballerina.

Icing On The Cake Dress
Majorly beautiful, & how could I resist with a name like that? I’d wear this with knee-socks & patent Mary Janes.

Ariel Skirt
I have loved this skirt for a long time. I would tuck a bubblegum pink camisole into this & proceed to knock ’em dead!

Mascara Scarf
Yes, it looks like a big strip of false eyelashes! I like that though. This will add texture & dimension to any outfit!

Piano Man Umbrella
Winter’s closing in, ’tis true, but don’t be sad! This umbrella will add massive style to your outfit & a smile to your face!

Mochi Skirt
Everyone needs a super-poofy petticoat, if only for giving your dresses epic volume!

Storm Cloud Skirt
Wear this with your favourite tee & big boots for a relaxed, quirky style statement.

Bow-Jito Skirt
Possibly the sweetest skirt on the planet. Just like wearing a big scoop of peppermint ice-cream!

Wild Gal Glasses
Oh BE QUIET, these are way rad. You need them & I do too.

Thirdly… & perhaps most importantly… at least to my ego… is that they released THE GALA DARLING DRESS. Oh, hello!

ModCloth

It’s so beautiful! There is one winging its way to me as we speak, & I cannot wait to throw it on in all its glory. I should have posted about this the MOMENT it went on sale, but I was too slow off the mark, & now it is out of stock. Argh, I’m so sorry! BOO! But if you click ‘Notify Me On Restock’, fingers crossed that they will get more in, & all will be well again!

ModCloth says of the Gala Darling dress:

Named after one of our favorite fashion bloggers, this enchanting little black dress will inspire you to celebrate your sense of style each time you wear it. Featuring a monochromatic print that resembles the sound waves produced by your squeals of delight when you slip it on easily with a subtle zip, this fully-lined, cotton-silk frock will form to your shape with its sweetheart bustline and empire waistband, and will create a loving relationship with your shoulders as its adjustable, double straps criss-cross your back. Our best advice is to wear this with candy-pink heels, plastic-frame glasses, a feathered hair clip, and plenty of bangles for a magical look for a fashionable adventure in a distant land, or on a shoe-shopping safari through New York City.

I couldn’t agree more!

Thank you so much, ModCloth!
