Things I Love Thursday

My new business cards. Ain’t they beautiful? I love them. I designed them myself & as a non-designer, I’m quite proud! & yes, you can call me! I’d love to hear from you. So give me a ring-a-ding-ding, won’t you?

Being in luh-luh-luh-LOVE! I don’t want to get all sappy on you, but it’s good to be in love. That’s all.

Reading this & then performing some intelligence tests on Dolly. That post is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, & the comments made me laugh until I cried. I showed The Dish last night & after we got done laughing, we decided to do some similar intelligence tests on Dolly. He suspects she is a little dim. (When he said that, I was so offended! “No!”, I cried. “She’s PERFECT! She’s a GENIUS!” He doesn’t think so.) Anyway, she failed the tests. We put her under a blanket & she just lay down. Hahahah. Then I googled her breed (she is part bluetick coonhound) & it says that part of their DNA lends them to stubbornness, selective hearing (!!!) & no real interest in pleasing their owners! Hahaah!!! So funny. She is a little monster!

Deleting 38,000 emails! Not even kidding! Such a good feeling! It was also long overdue.

Concentrated girl time! Yesterday Molly & I had a looooong lunch where we laughed, plotted, took photobooth pictures & I made lots of notes in my Filofax. (Nnnnnnnnnnnnnerd.) Zoetica arrived this morning from Los Angeles, & the three of us are going to go & have another loooong lunch. Yay! This is not to mention hilarious conversations with Nubs (taco eater extraordinaire) & Jess (shoe obsessive). Team Estrogen!

Sexy, yummy, little: Laughing ’til we cry about silly product slogans & Cupcake Wars (somehow, we still get the Food Network?!); singing along while Fleetwood Mac plays extra-loud on a beautiful summer day; sending pictures of my cleavage to Nubby; Cathy Horyn & Jeanne Beker live-tweeting the Jean-Paul Gaultier show yesterday (“A turban with high twist and fishnets”, “there’s an Eiffel Tower worked into the back of each leg of the fishnets”, WHAT!); making an effort to take daily outfit photos; men who buy Love & Sequins subscriptions for their girlfriends (doki doki); Weezer all afternoon; The Dish being cute & faux-pestering me when he had the day off & I was trying to be productive; stripping Google AdSense out of my site (did you notice? I think it looks much better); heaps of rad/fun/ridiculous opportunities; properly hooking my phone up with Verizon (who I LOVE, they are so good!); neon pink fingernails, & singing songs to Hank. Imagine this being sung in a superbly toneless, off-key manner… followed by me laughing like a maniac.

“What’s it like… being hairy?
Is it scary? Are you weary?
Are you a fan of… Dennis Leary?”

I think he liked it. (Poor Hank.)

“Life’s as kind as you let it be.”(Charles Bukowski)
