Sitting cross-legged on the bed in the living room, with a big bowl of guacamole, tortilla chips & an episode of Sex & The City (namely, ‘Luck Be An Old Lady’, episode 503). I swear, Carrie is the best friend I always wished I had. As long as I have SATC on DVD, I truly feel I can never really be sad.

On that note: making guacamole! It makes me feel wholesome! & it’s about as domestic as I’m ever going to get… haha!

Unconsciously engaging in weird mannerisms that are exactly what my parents do. It probably isn’t obvious to anyone but me, but I love it & find it hilarious!

Big stacks of books. I went to the library on Tuesday, in between my hair appointment & make-up course. I came away with a whole lot of pages on various subjects, including feng shui, palmistry, body language, & strangest of all, a motivational book called Do You! written by Russell Simmons! Amazing! Also, today I received Nina Garcia’s Little Black Book of Style in the mail. Thank you Michelle!

Sparkly red nailpolish! Namely “Ruby Slippers” by Essie. Having glitter on my toes makes me very happy, & the colour perfectly offsets my purple locks.

Cupcakes which never seem to go stale! Mmmm, delicious. There is nothing better than having a big stash of baked goods in your kitchen, waiting for you!

Honourable mentions: Soft t-shirts; daytime naps; salvaging old lamps; long, friendly emails; workouts that leave you satisfied & sore; food court conversations; improving my make-up skills; warm summer nights; the way my boyfriend understands me; constant encouragement; rosehip oil (I like it so far!); twirling around in my long black skirt!

“Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life & the world.” — John Milton

How can you not express gratitude after a quote like that? I hand the microphone to you, my dear nonpareils. Let your love ring from the mountain-tops!
