Keeping It Casual At The Start Of Fall
When I go shopping, I instantly gravitate towards the loud pieces: big, bold stripes, psychedelic patterns and sequins are like sartorial kryptonite for this girl. Swing open my closet door, and you come face-to-face with a cacophony of prints and polka-dots. But inevitably, when it comes time to put an outfit together, all those loud items start to compete with one another.
Which brings us to the humble t-shirt, an item I have extremely mixed feelings about. Comfortable? Yes! Wildly thrilling? Definitely not. But there’s a reason why t-shirts are a fashion staple. They simply get the job done: no muss, no fuss. And if you can get your hands on one in a fun colour, like the Hanes Live. Love. Color t-shirt, so much the better.
This is one of the most simple outfits I’ve worn in a while, and I love it. It’s casual but cool, dressed up and dressed down at the same time. I love to pair a baseball cap with oversized sunglasses and a chunky necklace, a flippy skater skirt with sneaker wedges. And it wouldn’t have worked without a simple t-shirt to pull it all together.
I’m wearing: NY Yankees baseball cap / Celine sunglasses / Faux Celine necklace / Hanes Live. Love. Color t-shirt / Topshop skirt / Lacoste sneaker wedges (not pictured) / Hanes bandeau and boy shorts.
My lip colour is Bite’s High Pigment Pencil in Grapevine, an accidental but fortuitous discovery I made during a recent Sephora rampage. Obsessed!
By the way, have you been wondering about the results of Hanes’ Undercover Color campaign? They make me laugh!
I must admit, I’m proud to live in a city full of people who rock purple underwear regularly.
With love,
